Saint Mary Grand Street rings the angelus bell at noon each day over the Lower East Side. Our bell is the original bell of the Catholic community here in New York City, cast during the penal days in Ireland in 1826. With all the loud machine-made sounds of the city, the bell is a soft reminder that human beings live here. Step into our church, open early to late seven days a week. Come down into our Lower Church where we host a coffee bar of direct trade Guatemalan coffee from Tuesday to Sunday. We would also like to invite you to our weekly services. Our rectory is hidden in the ghosts of old New York around the corner from the church on Attorney Street, a street no longer a street. Please come and visit our Pastor and staff. Please take time to offer an online prayer request.
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Andrew More O'Connor
